The Denver Broncos are coming off of a great win over the division rivals the Los Angeles Chargers. Plays on the defensive side were key to helping the Broncos come out on top, especially key interceptions from rookie cornerback Patrick Surtain II. One in which Surtain’s interceptions were returned back for a touchdown giving the Broncos a comfortable lead late in the game.
Looking ahead of schedule, the Broncos are in needing to win the rest of the AFC west match ups they have. The biggest games for the Denver starts now as of this week the Broncos are flying into Kansas City to take on Patrick Mahomes and his high flying offense. Denver is down bad on the defensive side of the ball with injuries like Josey Jowell, Alexander Johnson, and Micah Kiser. Now with the Chiefs getting back into rhythm of things with their offense, the Broncos are either going to have to find a way to keep scoring or play really great defense.
The rest of Denver’s schedule contains AFC West rivalry games, two being the Chiefs, if the Broncos are able to come out on top of both games against the Chiefs, Denver may have a chance for the playoffs. With that being said the last time the Denver Broncos found themselves in the playoffs was in 2015, which was when Denver had won super bowl 50 with Peyton Manning. There is still a lot of football left with a lot on the line for Denver!
