With the trade deadline coming around the corner in the NFL, there have been potential trade rumors of Deshaun Watson being trade for Tua Tagovailoa. Deshaun Watson has had a rocky off-season with 20 lawsuits that have been pressed against Watson for sexual assault. Watson’s return to the league has been questionable for the Texans as he has yet to take a snap this season, but that does not doubt the skill level of Watson’s abilities.
Deshaun Watson had a great season last year statistically, passing for over 4,800 yards, scoring over 30 touchdowns, with only 7 interceptions. Which was Deshaun’s best season in his careers, and was a runner up for league MVP. Although, Deshaun was unhappy with the Texans and had wanted a trade prior to his incidents off the field, but he ended up finding himself not playing so far this season.
Tua Tagovailoa was the Miami Dolphins 1st round draft pick in the 2020 NFL Draft coming out of Alabama. In 2017 and in 2018 he had lead the Tide to the National Championship, along with being a Heisman Runner. There was a lot of doubt about drafting Tua number 5 overall because of a hip injury he had suffered back at Alabama. So far playing for the Miami Doplins he has quite given the Dolphins the spark they need.
The trade deadline is coming soon, with the rumors spreading of a potential Deshaun and Tua, we will se how likely the rumors are to come true.
