Jon Gruden resigns as Raiders coach after more leaked emails reveal homophobic, misogynistic language - CBSSports.com

Jon Gruden has a lot of history in the NFL being a coach for the Raiders and notably the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where in which he got his first super bowl title for himself and Tampa Bay. Gruden was later cut as the head coach of the Buccaneers and joined Monday Night football as an analyst. Later, the Raiders hired Jon Gruden again in 2018 to be the new head coach of the football team, but this time not only in Oakland, California but in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The head coach Jon Gruden was expected to have his best season this year (2021) with the Raiders, something the organization was excited for considering the $100 million dollar contract they gave Gruden as the head coach. His first two season with the Oakland Raiders, Grudens overall recored was (4-12) in 2018 and the following year (7-9). Which was something that was slightly unexpected but understandable considering these were his first two season back coaching in the NFL.

With the city change of the Raiders organization move to Las Vegas, the teams new start to a succesful dynasty were ready to begin. The flashing light of the new city and the new stadium for the team, with the perfect resemblance of the nick name “the black hole”, the hype drawn all around the raiders seemed to be going very well for the organization. But Gruden led the team to an (8-8) record being the first season in Las Vegas, which was still enough to reach .500 for the team.

What was about to begin in the 2021 season for the Raiders, came to an end early for Jon Gruden after reeling in a (3-2) record to start the season, Jon Gruden stepped down as head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders after unpleasant emails were discovered by the New York Times from Gruden offending NFL Commissioner Rodger Goodell, women, minorities, and gay people as well. The dynasty that was just about to hit the ground running for Gruden had come to an end, as these emails from over several years ago came from back to haunt Jon Gruden.

The Raiders have been making coaching decisions after parting ways with Gruden as, “it is over” between the Raiders and Jon Gruden.
